For the next concert seasons Paolo Restani proposes a series of exclusive and original projects with eminent artists.

With actress Chiara Muti, he is presenting two recitals for reciting voice and piano: one dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the other to the relationship between Ludwig II of Bavaria and Richard Wagner.
The Kingdom of Rücken (Mozart): a dialogue between piano and words. The text by Chiara Muti "recounts" moments in the life of the great composer and interprets some aspects of the problems between man and genius, between the absolute of Mozartian nature and the limits of the times in which he lived: letters, anecdotes, and documents are featured in the recitation. Paolo Restani plays music by Mozart and Mozart-Liszt.
Ludwig’s Dream (Ludwig-Wagner): Chiara Muti’s recitation of selections from the Klaus Mann novel Barred Window – in addition to poetry by Ludwig and pages from his correspondence with his cousin Sissi, Empress of Austria – interprets the essence of the long platonic relationship between Ludwig II of Bavaria and composer Richard Wagner, whom the king called his “only, sublime and divine friend.” Paolo Restani plays a cycle of transcriptions of Liszt by famous Wagnerian operatic compositions and some original pieces by Franz Liszt.
Both performances, directed by Chiara Muti, are enhanced by a series of visual effects created by Luigi Martinucci.

With actress Simona Marchini he is presenting the play Storia di una capinera [The Story of a Backcap] by Giovanni Verga (adapted and directed by Matteo Tarasco). Simona Marchini is the first actress to interpret Giovanni Verga’s Story of a Blackcap, although it is a classic of Italian literature, it has never been done on the stage. The play’s musical score, in addition to pieces by Liszt and Wagner-Liszt, features the work of composer Marco Betta written specially for this occasion.
